The Lawrence Hall of Science investigates, creates, and evaluates educational materials and methods, professional development programs, and hands-on learning experiences for science centers, schools, community organizations, and homes. The Hall is committed to providing every person access to high quality, effective science and mathematics learning opportunities to enrich lives, inform communities, and advance society.

The Hall is also the home for the Center for Technology Innovation, which designs and implements technology-mediated learning experiences, and the Center for Research, Evaluation, and Assessment, which provides research, evaluation, assessment and strategic communications that deliver evidence for effective science and mathematics learning experiences.

We do our work in and across multiple settings including formal (in schools, districts, etc.), out-of-school (afterschool, camps, communities), and informal (science centers, media, home).
